Sold to John W. McCrory in 2007, decommissioned and taken to Whitby. During the refit confirmed by Parkol, over £150,000 was spent on Aspire and she was professionally refitted to a very high standard. The old wheelhouse was removed along with planking, bulwarks stringers and top rail all stripped to deck level. All frames were found to be in good condition and topsides were rebuilt. At this time about 4 or 5 hull planks were replaced were fishing (scallop dredging) had taken its toll.
The ,vheelhouse was replaced with an aluminium structure, designed and built by ParkoL 18 custom made Boharnet windows to the wheelhouse were commissioned. four of them opening from the wheelhouse. A coachroof with skylight added above the fishroom, which has been converted into saloon and fore cabin with 3 berths, also a wetroom with shower and heads installed.
Used only occasionally as a motor yacht until 2014 when sold to Kevin & Pam Simmister. previous owners coded the vessel to Category 3 for continuing work for the Isle of Rona (occasional ferry service) and for the Northern Llghthouse Board, as a zoned boat for the North Skye area. Again occasional light work.
I purchased the Aspire in 2018 and will operate the vessel for charter. We can provide comfortable accomodation for parties up to 12 people (plus crew). The deck area is suitable for angling, diving, whale watching, marine wildlife tours on a well proven, well equipped and skippered sea -going vessel.
